Analyze what motivates Iago. How does he gain the trust of everyone around him,and why i he able to successfully deceive so many peoe pl?

One primary driving factor for Iago’s behavior seems to be his hatred for those he perceives as more privileged than himself. He expresses this in Act 1 when saying “I follow him [Othello]to serve my turn upon him” (Shakespeare 1.1.43). This statement implies that his actions are motivated by revenge against those who have wronged him or have privilege he will never experience himself. His sense of superiority over lower classes is also evident in his interactions with Roderigo, referring to Roderigo’s wealth as “your purse” and claiming it is under Iago’s control (2.1.32-33). It appears likely that these feelings stem from jealousy created by seeing others achieving success or gaining recognition while he does not; a sentiment which can cause even the most honest person to act out of malice instead of reason.

Iago also has a strong desire for power, which leads him on a path full of deception and manipulation in order to achieve it. He tends to step into situations where he can take advantage of weaknesses within them and manipulate other characters into doing things that benefit himself or furthering his agenda—most notably with Othello being manipulated into now believing Desdemona has been unfaithful by planting false suspicions throughout their conversations (3:3). By using such tactics, those around him give away their trust without knowing they are essentially allowing themselves to be controlled by Iago’s schemes.

It may also be possible that envy plays an important role in motivating Iago’s maliciousness toward Othello—specifically envy based on differences between them concerning reputation/class status, military rank, love life, etc., as well as any potential desires toward Desdemona herself which could explain why he pushes her away from Othello so strongly throughout the play despite having no known romantic interest towards her himself at any point during its course (though some argue otherwise). Even if there were no actual feelings towards her personally however, it would still make sense for him wanting her out of the picture if only because she was another obstacle keeping Othello from obtaining complete authority over all aspects related with command yet again highlighting how power lies at root cause behind much Iagos behavior shows during play proceedings…

Despite having lived together years working respected position army lieutenant seemingly trustworthy figure before recent events caused massive rift between two leading current state affairs! Similar situation experienced Emilia whose husband ignoring time spent caring family choosing focus solely own political ambitions leaving poor women feeling worthless neglected thus pushing them side causing fits unmanageable anger ! All these factors considered begin see clear picture forming motives behind each action undertaken both characters…

Though end result does not necessarily justify means employed reach ultimate objective itself least know better choices could taken avoid unnecessary tragedy suffered all involved party members..
